**New upgraded Gen 2 fast spool manifold design with optimized clearnce to outlets now included**

These are the most power twin turbos for the N54 on the market!  They are good for 450-1000hp max with e85 for max power.  They have an incredibly versatile power range.  They are made from all new parts mostly proprietary parts including a custom cast and machined turbine housing, manifold, and bearing housing.  Because of this, these turbos have been designed and built from the ground up to minimize backpressure and maximize power.  The manifold has the largest collector on the market and the AR in the turbine housing has been optimized for max power for the 46mm turbine wheel  and 46mm compressor wheel while maintaining excellent spool which is basically imperceptible when rowing through the gears compared to stock turbos.  The compressor wheel is a GTX style 11 blade extended tip 46mm inducer forged milled billet wheel optimized for high horsepower and we are the only turbo manufacturer bringing it to you for the N54 on the market.  The turbine wheel is a high flow 9 blade with 46mm exducer made from high strength and high temp resistance inconel alloy material.  The turbine housing and manifold are made from high strength stainless alloy with very high temp heat resistance and casted using a high precision investment casting method which also yields a gorgeous surface finish.  The wastegate parts in the turbine housing are all new and machined from high strength stainless alloy.

The 1k turbos have 46mm turbine wheels, but back pressure is greatly reduced with the proprietary stainless manifolds meaning you make the same power with less boost means the turbo and engine work less harder and last longer and also there is about 150whp more of top end with the 1K turbos vs stage 3. Also the 1K are easy to install with the split design since you don’t have to remove the subframe, only downpipes and shift steering rack forward then easy to install, also the turbo can be easily removed with the vband for servicing or upgrading and upgrading costs will be greatly reduced as you re use the manifold. Max power of stage 3 is about 700whp and max power of 1K is about 850whp.

The turbine housing and the manifold are investment cast from high grade stainless steel.  the Nickle content of the high grade stainless steel chosen for the castings. It has double the nickle content of 316 stainless steel and therefore resists oxidation up to 1100C (2010F) under cyclic conditions as well and actually heat cycling between 1202F and 1742F increases the toughness of the material. There is no strength degradation at 1100C. For these reasons we chose this stainless steel alloy for the castings although it is much more expensive than cast iron that many turbine housings or manifolds are made of to keep costs lower. Also the investment casting process is a lot more precise having higher quality and much better surface finish compared to sand casting. competing vendors use cast iron sand cast for their manifolds to keep costs low but it is not nearly as good as this high grade stainless steel.

 

MMP has the best twin turbo system at the best bang for your buck for this horespower level.  There is no more core fee so your stock turbos are not needed to be returned anymore and I wont be buying anymore at MMP as we will switch to manufacturing turbos with our new proprietary castings exclusively.

The kit requires upgraded inlet pipe system (filter to turbos) and also outlet pipe system (turbos to intercooler connection) optimized for the high flowing native 19T compressor housing which is over twice the size/flow of stock compressor housing and has 2" inlet connection and 2" outlet connection, much larger than the stock turbos and even other large size hybrid turbos from the competition. This will make sure the turbos are flowing to their maximum potential along with the upgraded plumbing for the turbo.

The turbos are made from a full native TD04 bearing housing with upgraded TD04 thrust bearings which include double the surface area compared to the stock TD03 thrust bearings (that's 100% more).  Other popular hybrid turbo manufacturers use a stock TD03 bearing housing with TD03 journal and thrust bearing components and smaller TD03 shaft size and just cram much larger turbine and compressor wheels in stock compressor housings and stock bearing housings never meant for the small TD03 shaft size and small TD03 journal and thrust bearing components.  This can lead to shafts breaking and premature wear of the thrust bearing causing smoking issues on the turbos.  All these issues that give hybrid turbos a bad name on the N54 due to improper design has been solved in the brand new TD04 bearing housings from MMP.  The MMP design uses a thrust plate with 2 oiling ports vs one in the standard thrust plate and also the thrust washer and collar have 2x the surface area of the TD03 components, this is why they are MUCH more reliable then those other offerings.  These great upgraded and reliable thrust components for 30psi+ are included standard with no extra charge in all MMP turbos.

    SPECIAL NOTE: these turbos require upgraded 2" connection inlets (either the relocation ones or one piece OEM location ones) and MMP 2" outlets or similar  and they wont work without them as the turbos will not be able to connect to the small stock plumbing (which would severely choke these turbos anyway).  You can use other 2" inlets or others 2" conenction outlets ;)  If you previously purchased MMP aluminum inlets and/or  silicone outlets, THEY WILL WORK with these turbos and upgraded elbow adapters for the inlets you have already will be included for free with the turbo purchase, just let me know and I will include them. 

    If you purchase silicone relocation inlets or stock location inlets for stock turbos (1.75" connection) then they wont fit on these turbos and you will need to purchase 2" connection inlets from us or someone else, the good news is if you buy from us with your turbo purchase you can buy them super cheap as you see in the option prices when checking out and then you can sell your old stock connection ones used for the same or more turning potentially a small profit.

     

    Fitment

    they fit All Wheel Drive (AWD, X series) and Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) just like stock turbos, they even fit Right Hand Drive (RHD) but need outlets customized. They fit ANY N54 motor in ANY series car. This includes:

     For 1 series / 5 series / Z series / or RHD, you will need to buy an upper rear coolant line from the 3 series in order for the rear turbo to fit, everything else will fit just fine. Except RHD will need to make modifications to the outlets to fit around the steering column, that is covered in a bullet point below
